Queen Palm

 

Scientific Name: Syagrus romanzoffiana

Appearance: Queen Palms have a single smooth trunk and dark green fronds. Each frond is anywhere from 5-15 feet long and each has double rows of leaflets that are long and slender. They can grow up to 40 feet tall. 

 

Growing: Fast grower. After established, these palms grow around six feet per year. Easy maintenance, with moderate watering needs. Newly planted palms need to be watered daily. After established they need to be watered a minimum of 3 times a week. Will grow in partial shade to full sun.
