Scientific Name: Beaucarnea recurvata

 

Appearance: The Ponytail Palm trees have dark green, grass-like leaves that are close to 1 inch wide and can be up to 6 feet long. This tree can reach 30 feet, but the average height is 15 feet in landscapes. 

 

Growing: Popular container plant. Very slow growing. Full sun to light shade. Minimal watering needs makes it a popular choice for xeriscapes. Easy to care for.
